Opportunity Snapshot:

Compensation: $55-60/hourLocation: Midland, TXAssignment Duration: 12 months+Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+Benefits: Comprehensive insurance with 401(k) with Holidays and PTO Responsibilities Working safely, and ensuring all those working around them are working safelyWorking with Houston-based and local ITS teams to install, operate and maintain field communications systemsScheduling formal change requests to field communications systems for firmware updates, security changes, and other configuration changesUnboxing, inventory, testing, and installing field communications hardware at sites in the work region.Working to join infrastructure to a cloud management platform, central management, and monitoring toolsDocumentation and knowledge transfer, such as maintaining and providing solution documentation to other team members, IT and business areas, detailing hardware installations, logically storing project files, and cross trainingProviding solutions to complex problems on the integration of various technologies including connectivity issuesResolving operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents and request itemsWorking continuously on a task until completion or escalating to the next level supportPrioritizing and managing many open cases at one timeCollaborating with IT, managers, and other stakeholders to develop an action plan for improved operationsPreparing written and verbal presentations and reportsProviding management with timely and accurate status reportsKeeping customer base informed of changes and issues within the data center environmentModeling a strong work ethic and taking the lead on a variety of initiativesBeing flexible and willing to adapt to changing business requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED requiredCollege graduate in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field preferredEquivalent work experience pertaining to information technologies and / or telecommunications may be acceptableValid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is requiredVery strong experience with networking, wireless Coriolis,  radios, broad band, AC/DC, tower construction experience, strong networking troubleshootingIn-depth understanding and troubleshooting skills of cabling infrastructure (Layer 1 - Fiber, Copper), common wired network devices, IP telephony, two-way radio, local area networks, wide area networks, and potential connectivity issues for eachUnderstanding and troubleshooting skills of hardware, software and peripherals used in a common business environment. - Includes PC computers, Servers, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server, and Microsoft Office suiteCommunication skills (written and verbal English is a must). Ability to work well with people and assess each customer’s individual needs. Need to be able to communicate with people and businesses outside of the organization and company, which may include business stakeholders, vendors, and service providersStrong customer service ethos with experience in change managementExcellent organizational skills including accurate records keeping and proper documentationAbility to work independently, self-organize, follow through without reminders, follow up, multi-task, follow processes and policies (including environmental & safety), and act as a contributing member of a team environmentExperience with Project Management.  Ability to manage projects as well as be a resource for projects
