TITLE: Field Compliance Monitor - Manager/Sr. Manager (Healthcare Compliance Office)
GLOBAL GRADE: SE7
The Field Compliance Monitor leads and manages compliance monitoring activities across Genentech, with a focus on live (in-person and virtual) field-based activities (e.g., speaker programs and field ride-alongs) and field- related processes (e.g., account plans and call notes). The Field Compliance Monitor will travel Nationwide to monitor in-person field activities.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor in-person and virtual live events and activities, including but not limited to: speaker programs, advisory boards, and field-based interactions with healthcare professionals, customers, and patients.
Strategic planner in selecting, managing, and scheduling travel and appointments to ensure field-based monitoring plans, objectives, and metrics are met.
Conduct process monitoring to ensure adherence to applicable polices and guidelines (e.g., account plan and call notes review)
Collaborate with other HCO team members, Legal, and cross-functional stakeholders on monitoring findings, recommended corrective actions, and/or risk mitigation.
Coach and provide compliance guidance to Field-based personnel.
Actively communicates with event logistics and internal teams (e.g. Speaker Bureau Services) to obtain details on events and provide feedback for program related findings.
Contributes to the annual and longer-range HCO Risk Assessment, Work Plan, and Monitoring Plan development and implementation.
Where applicable, manages outside vendors and/or counsel assisting with healthcare and related compliance monitoring.
Proactively identifies trends, dynamics or other factors influencing Genentech’s overall healthcare and related compliance to provide forward input into future HCO plans and objectives.
Assists with other HCO duties and/or projects related to areas such as operations, auditing, investigations, policy, training, iHCP, FMV, and transparency.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree (finance/accounting, life sciences, law, public policy, marketing, business, or related discipline preferred) or Clinical Degree (RN, BSN or RT, or PharmD) required.
Overnight travel is required. This position requires significant flying and driving of a personal vehicle as well as prolonged periods of sitting, both of which are part of the essential duties and responsibilities of the role. As a result, Genentech, Inc. (Company) from time to time will check your motor vehicle record for purposes of determining your eligibility for driving any vehicle on Company business.
Healthcare Compliance Certification (before or w/in 6 months of appointment).
Ability to travel (up to 80% within a year).
EXPERIENCE:
To be considered at Compliance Manager level, minimum 3 years of work experience in Field Account Management, legal/compliance, or Commercial/Medical home-office roles in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, management consulting, or other related industry.
To be considered at Senior Compliance Manager level, minimum 6 years of work experience in Field Account Management, legal/compliance, or Commercial/Medical home-office roles in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, management consulting, or other related industry.
Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the bio/pharma industry required (compliance, legal, clinical affairs, and product marketing).
Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment, as it relates to healthcare compliance in the bio/pharma industry preferred (includes anti-kickback statutes, government fraud & abuse, off-label promotion, PhRMA Code, etc.)
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco is $120,200- $223,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
