We are seeking a Field Coordinator to join our Ledcor team in Caledon, ON. The Field Coordinator, under the direction and guidance of the team, provides technical and/or management support and assists operations staff to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Responsibilities :

Health and Safety - Participation in daily safety visits and meetings, working closely with workers to ensure that no one is injured and to plan the work to be done safely and eliminate risks at the sourceQuality control and assurance - Conduct site visits and inspections, identify non-conformities and conduct follow-upsTeamwork - Working closely with the team of workers, the project management team and engineeringPlanning - Participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of daily construction tasks for their area of operation. Communicate the plan effectively with team membersWork Supervision - Supervises the work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with applicable plans, specifications and standards. Identify site modifications to prepare drawings as constructedSubcontract management - Management of subcontracts and materials contracts, payment request analysis, change request management, contract requirements management and field supervisionPerformance monitoring - Participation in quantity progress reporting, analysis of progress and daily and weekly productivity. Ensure that the cost coding procedure is followedPurchasing - Participate in the process of purchasing materials and other needs, monitor shipping and coordinate deliveries, ensure delivery schedules are met and orders are accurateConstruction equipment managementMateriel Management – Inspection upon reception, storage management and needs coordinationDevelopment of work plans - Establishment of work methods, coordination between the various project stakeholdersPerform layout work accurately and efficientlyPreparing and updating routine documents and creating general correspondenceContinually find solutions to conflicts in structural/architectural/mechanical/electrical drawings and specifications by conferring with the Consultants. Co-ordinate these solutions with the various sub-trades

Qualifications?

Completing or recently completed a Diploma in Construction Management, degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldExperience in the construction industry is considered an assetExceptional at prioritizing tasks, multitasking, and meeting deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor under stress.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships effectively.Strong organizational skills complemented by analytical capabilities. Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
