Under the direction of the Pole Set Superintendent, this position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the daily operations and activities of the Pole Set Construction group.
Starting pay for this position is $25.00/hr. DOE.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a knowledge of utility construction safety and maintenance operating standards/codes/policies/guidelines following Federal, State, company, and customer requirements.Coordinate and schedule field operational needs to ensure all work is performed efficiently, on schedule, and meet company and customer requirements. Tasks include, but not limited to: Coordinate and secure all resources including personnel, equipment, and external resources such as police details, flaggers, hotel accommodations, etc. as needed. Provide assistance in project estimating, planning, and implementation prerequisites, including responding to bid proposals as requested.Read and interpret geographic and utility maps.Communicate and collaborate with internal and external team in a professional, courteous manner to meet all project requirements, inventory/equipment needs, and schedules including any required documentation.Ensures compliance with Federal, State, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet customer demands/schedule, including overtime and emergency duty as requested (nights, weekends, holidays).Perform other duties as assigned by management including supervisory responsibilities when required.What We Need From You (Our Requirements):
Must have High School Diploma or the equivalent.Must have a valid Driver’s license.Must have administrative experience scheduling and coordinating multiple internal and external resources.A basic working knowledge/understanding of utility construction including related equipment, safety requirements, standard operating procedures, and Federal/State/local laws is highly preferred. Must have professional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must demonstrate strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy; deadline driven.Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have the knowledge and ability to perform basic computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.Knowledge of Maine geography preferred.Knowledge of Central Maine Power’s SAP system desirableMust be able to work at a computer terminal and enter data for prolonged periods.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.Why You'll Love Working for Us (Our Benefits):
