Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Field Data Collection Scientist to join a large agriculture client in Des Moines, IA. This person will be specializing in Computer Vision and Plant Phenotyping and will be responsible for developing and deploying advanced machine learning models to quantify and interpret visual and LiDAR data collected from agricultural fields. This candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize computer vision solutions that address key challenges in plant phenotyping. Expertise in sensor testing, model training, deep learning, image annotation, and data quality control will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects for detecting anomalies and developing measurements in crop field using remote sensing. This candidate will be compensated at an hourly rate between $48-51/HR.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Agricultural Engineering, Plant Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision models using advanced machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as random forest, CNN, DNN, Light GBM, random forest, SVM, PLSR, UNet, YOLO, ResNet,
Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and model evaluation metrics.
Experience with field data collection and sensor deployment, RGB, Multispectral, LiDAR, and/or proximal phenotyping techniques.
Experience with plant phenotyping and agricultural research.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in computer vision libraries like OpenCV, scikit-image, and NumPy, TensorFlow, Keras. Hands-on experience with image annotation tools and techniques.
Knowledge of data quality control and preprocessing methods.
Experience with RGB data analysis and interpretation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with microcontroller programing in C+AWS cloud experience null
