What success looks like in this role:
The Domestic Regional Technical Officer will be required to:
Provide technical support domestically including travel, some international travel opportunities may be required.Install and support Client’s IT, Network and Communications systems.Review and maintain installation documentation of various ICT systems.Provide general technical work and advice.Perform additional duties as required in relation to ICT technical installations and support.Possess the ability to work under limited supervision individually or in a team environment.Possess the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, showcase sound lateral thinking to investigate and solve undocumented problems.Create and update Standard Operating Procedures.Experience with desktop support, server support, hardware, network and software installation and troubleshootingSoftware and Hardware diagnostic skills across desktop, server, and communications environmentsYou will be successful in this role if you have:
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Formal qualifications or relevant industry experience in any of the following:Complex ICT Systems.Desktop – capable of install/support of end-user compute software and hardware.Printers – capable of installation and troubleshooting hardware and software.UPS – understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supply function and installation/maintenance.Physical Network and Server infrastructure – base understanding and operability of network and server devices and distribution cabling.Ability to travel domestically for both scheduled and unscheduled site visitsProven experience in a Technical support environment performing fault investigation, triaging, and resolutionAbility to evaluate hardware prior to introduction against defined criteria and identify risks/concernsDesirable:
Logical Network – working knowledge of network routing and switching, including core concepts such as DHCP, subnetting, VLANs – or the ability to acquire.Open Cabling Registration with Optical, Coaxial and Structured Cabling endorsements.Senior First Aid.White Card, Enter and work in confined spaces, Work safely at heights, asbestos awareness.Knowledge of government physical & electronic security requirements and processes.Understanding of Client’s technical ICT operational environment.Experience with supporting physical and virtual environments (Desktop and Servers)Experience with Active Directory (users, mailbox management)Mandatory Requirements:
