FIELD ENGINEER
The primary role of the Field Engineer is to assist the onsite Superintendent and/or Foreman with a variety of tasks in support of project execution. In this role, the Field Engineer will learn foundational principles and processes of building construction which will serve as a gateway to a career path in either Field Operations or Project Management.
Qualifications:
Required:
Two or four-year degree in construction management or related field. Some Internship, education or field experience Strong collaboration and communication skills Thorough and detail-oriented Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision Strong computer skills, including ExcelPreferred:
Demonstrated experience initiating and driving continuous improvement Current OSHA 30 certificationOffice and Travel:
Office: Various jobsites and/or corporate/regional office.
Travel: In addition to regional meetings, overnight travel may be involved.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Assist with quantity tracking and verification Assist with tracking of materials inventory on the project site Assist with Building layout and survey Assist with organization, storage and maintenance of tools Verify embeds and other constructability related items Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment Assist in writing of Requests for Information (RFIs) Assist in Subcontractor management Participate in Weekly coordination meetings Assist with document management and maintain as-builts Conduct site safety audits and participate in site safety meetings Daily log – Maintain and manage accurate daily entriesPhysical Requirements:

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee’s work station and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Employee needs to be able to lift up to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.
Occasionally, employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
