Purpose of Role: The Field Engineer is responsible for collecting and monitoring operating and wear data on our critical Oil Sands equipment. They will be working closely with our key customers and sales team by problem solving and providing feedback, facilitating improvements in wear performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Develop site relationships and be primary contact for technical supportInspect & Report on Critical Equipment: Attend key equipment outages, inspections, and overhauls ensuring to monitor and collect operating data and wear performance on product/equipment. Prepare comprehensive inspection reports for a variety of stakeholders.  Aftermarket Growth: Work closely with internal materials, technology, and sales teams to grow our Oil Sands aftermarket business through various presentations and meetingsForecasting: Provide monthly updates to Management and Operations Group on key component and spare part wear life, consumption, and customer maintenance outage schedules to allow for proper inventory alignment   Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineering)2-5 years of field service and technical support experience in an industrial or mining related fieldExperience working on slurry pump disassembly, evaluation, repair, and reassembly preferred
