Job Title: Field Engineer
Job Description

We are currently hiring for Field or Project Engineers who will work on a variety of projects including sanitary and storm sewers, wastewater facilities, water distribution facilities, site work, and grading. Candidates must have a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent and be open to doing field work. This role involves acting as a liaison between the client, contractor, and office engineer.

ResponsibilitiesServe as the engineering representative onsite whenever the contractor is performing work.Observe and report to ensure the work is being done according to specifications.Complete daily construction reports on a tablet to record activities and material quantities used each day.Contact the project engineer and assist in resolving any issues that arise on site.Conduct field observation for construction quantification for payment.Essential SkillsCivil Engineering Degree or equivalentExperience with field workProficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3DAdditional Skills & QualificationsCivil or Environmental Engineering DegreeEngineering internship experienceKnowledge in land development, inspection, stormwater, site development, and civil designWork Environment

This is a hybrid role with a schedule that includes one day a week working from home. The Field Engineer will be in the field for 6-18 months depending on project progress and may transition to a designer role upon finding their niche. Daily travel to project sites within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh is required, using their own vehicle with mileage reimbursements. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
