Field Engineer
**Job Title: Field Engineer** **Job Description** As a Field Engineer, you will oversee the layout, technical aspects, and coordination of jobs in the field. You will interface with customers and crews to create exceptional working relationships, manage expectations to ensure deadlines are met, and create a safe, cohesive environment for all team members. **Responsibilities** + Manage the layout schedule and adjust as needed, ensuring flexibility. + Review and study plans in advance of job site visits. + Initiate and manage construction document procedures, including RFIs, submittals, transmittals, correspondence, and meeting minutes. + Track and turn in daily logs, review job paperwork, and manage QA/QC processes. + Conduct weekly safety meetings and ensure crew safety at all times. + Maintain a positive attitude and create learning opportunities for team members. + Strive for optimal efficiency and quality in all projects. + Identify high-risk items and conduct site visits and meetings with relevant parties. + Plan effectively, anticipate potential problems, and solve issues as they arise. + Attend weekly operations meetings. + Educate and promote team members. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble LM80 Software (5+ years). + Experience with layout equipment (5+ years). + Construction knowledge in structural and civil drawings; survey knowledge preferred (5+ years). + Pertinent construction skills required to understand the impact/relationship of foundation to finished project and all stages of construction (5+ years). + Effective management skills, capable of balancing and prioritizing multiple requests. + Strong office time management and organizational skills. + Initiative and problem-solving skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Degree in construction management, project management, or equivalent job experience (minimum 5 years). + OSHA 30 certification. + Proficiency in using total station, CAM, Revit, and blueprint inspection. **Why Work Here?** We offer $100 dollars a day per diem, company-paid housing on-site, company-paid meals, and a company laptop.
