We are looking for you to join our team as a Field Engineer Level 3 or 4 in support of the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) Program located at Warner Robins AFB, GA.

This is an opportunity to develop your technical expertise across the engineering spectrum while working with a multi-disciplinary team that operates and maintains complex tactical communication systems. You'll also get to:
Support operations and maintenance of a complex airborne and terrestrial tactical communication system providing voice and data services in real world operations.Support flight line by performing preflight system tests and configuring payloadsPerform preventative and corrective maintenanceTroubleshoot Hardware/Software issuesPerform system and computer maintenanceAdminister equipment and environments which include Linux servers/clients, Windows 10, network attached storage devices and Linux virtual machines.Perform Communication Security (COMSEC) Key ManagementUse engineering drawings for troubleshooting and system analysis.Work closely with an Active Duty/Government customer as well as internal Northrop Grumman Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).Prepare to learn and excel on a small multidisciplinary team responsible for troubleshooting a wide array of military voice and data services.This position may be filled as a Field Engineer Level 3 or 4.
Basic Qualifications for a Field Engineer Level 3:
Bachelor’s degree in Science with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree in Science with 3 years of relevant experience; 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree.US Citizenship required.Active Secret security clearance required to start.Experience working with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications.Experience working with cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issues.Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry boxes, equipment, etc. required as part of the warehousing and inventory control duties.Basic Qualifications for a Field Engineer Level 4:
Bachelor’s degree in Science with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree in Science with 6 years of relevant experience. 12 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree.US Citizenship required.Active Secret security clearance required to start.Experience working with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications.Experience working with cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issues.Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry boxes, equipment, etc. required as part of the warehousing and inventory control duties.Preferred Qualification:
Knowledge of Link-16, VMF, SADL, SAT-J and/or JREAP-CExperience with operating; PRC-117, ARC-210, SADL, MIDS JTRS radiosDoD 8570 IAT Level II or greater (CompTIA Security+ and Linux + certifications)Experience with operating radio equipment and general RF knowledge.Experience with military aircraft operationsFamiliar with NIST security controlsCandidate shall have broad experience with the operation, integration, configuration, and maintenance of military communications systems, networks, and radios.Aviation or logistician experience with large aircraftFamiliarity with DD Form 1149s, and the related processes for shipments (both CONUS and OCONUS), and must understand and strictly comply with ITAR guidelines and CCI/COMSEC, classified and Security requirementsExperience in Procurement, Contracts, Provisioning, Inventory, and StorageExperience with purchase Order (P.O.) management, and coordinating work orders to sustain, and/or to improve sustainment operationsDoD 8570 IAT Level II or greater (CCNA Security, Security+ CE, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, Linux +)Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00Salary Range 2: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
