The Opportunity:

Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers. As a Field Engineering Specialist - Mass Spectrometry you will:

be the subject matter expert for our mass spectrometry instrumentation and showcase your expertise in technical repair for Roche produce lines.

responsible for onsite maintenance, repair and service of Roche mass spectrometry instruments 

handle complex customer and employee inquiries, resolving errors, complaints, and complex problems

diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.

document all activities, contribute to quality improvement and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction

ensure adherence to internal processes, and training/support concepts while proactively introducing new ideas for optimizations and engaging in knowledge transfer across stakeholders

utilize digital service tools to effectively solve problems.

This is a national field-based role - the territory is the United States. 90% travel is expected for this position.

Who You Are:

Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 3 - 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software

3 years experience in a clinical, manufacturing or research setting in a health or diagnostics industry environment with a focus on quantitative LC-MS

Electro-mechanical and fluidics troubleshooting experience 

Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required

Ability to support after hours and on weekends/holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

Mass spectrometry experience and liquid chromatography knowledge

Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.

Ability to learn and remain current on Roche solutions across various fields, including chemistry, immunology, molecular, life sciences, and IT solutions, while keeping up with industry trends.

The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships is essential.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is 72,900-135,300.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
