Field Experience and Assessment Coordinator

Under the general supervision of the Chair for the School of Social Work, provides year round administrative and program support to the School of Social Work for the coordination of field internship experiences in the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and the Master of Social Work (MSW) programs. Provides oversight of all aspects of the Field experience, manages relationships with external constituencies, and coordinates assessment processes within the School of Social Work.
Essential Functions:
· Develop and implement the student Field internship application process for BSW and MSW students, including consultation with the Chair and other faculty about a student’s academic readiness for the Field internship and internship needs.
· Serve on the MSW admissions committee.
· Process, review, and assess applications of new Field Instructors to include vetting and documentation of qualifications and recommendations.
· Develop and maintain resources by which students may become familiar with available agencies, Field Instructors, and client populations.
· Develop and maintain policies and processes used to place and support students in the field.
· Design, review, and revise supplemental materials related to BSW and MSW Field Education including the application for Field internship, Field Education manuals, and all associated Field forms, in collaboration with other members of the faculty.
· Collaborate with faculty teaching the Field Seminar courses to ensure opportunity for the demonstration of student competency per Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS).
· Participate in site visits with course instructors to help navigate issues and consult as needed.
· Consult individually with students when requested or necessary to give direction or support regarding a student’s completion of Field internship requirements.
· Provide supplemental supervision for individual students’ off-site field hours as needed.Manage Field/Practicum Sites
· Manage currently affiliated agencies, updating affiliation agreements as needed.
· Ensure compliance will all university standards for risk management.
· Monitor student compliance with requirements of community partners (i.e., background checks, drug screening etc.).
· Review and assess applications of new agencies for possible affiliation with the School of Social Work.
· Ensure regular and timely communication with community partners.
· Ensure data is entered on Field management software (Tevera) each semester for every course, student, and supervisor Meet with Tevera consultants for updates and troubleshooting and make sure all field experience paperwork is filed and housed per CSWE and state requirements.Support and Develop Community Partnerships
· Develop new Field placement sites that enhance the educational experiences available to BSW and MSW student interns.
· Review and assess new agency applications for possible affiliation with the School of Social Work.
· Serve as the liaison between the CARES center in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and the School of Social Work.
· Work in partnership with the Chair to utilize the expertise of the School of Social Work Advisory Board in support of ongoing curricular development, grant/funding support, and service opportunities.Facilitate Student Engagement and Storytelling:
· Support the development of media/stories for distribution in connection with the School of Social Work newsletter, the Director of Operations for the College Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and the CPHS Admissions team.
· Maintain community based contact listsProvide Support for Programmatic Assessment and Accreditation
· Design and implement ongoing evaluation measures for BSW and MSW field programs to ensure that learning objectives and professional competencies are assessed.
· Work in partnership with the Chair to collect and analyze programmatic assessment data for the BSW and MSW programs in support of CSWE accreditation standards.
· Complete annual CSWE reporting tools as required for each program.Coordinate Logistics and Event Planning:
· In collaboration with other members of the Field Education team, organize and conduct Field internship orientations.
