Field Implementation Specialist (Automation) - Fixed Term

The Opportunity:

As a Field Implementation Specialist (Automation), you will serve as the primary liaison representative providing post-sales customer support during the installation, implementation, and training of our pre-analytic and post-analytic automation systems, such as p512, p612, Cobas 8100, and p501/p701. 

This position is a 24 month fixed-term, full-time employment position with a possible extension up to a total of 36 months based on business need and job performance. You will receive healthcare benefits, PTO, 401k, paid holidays, and sick time.

This is a field-based, national role which requires 95% travel to client sites, including overnight travel Mon-Fri every week. You will need to reside within 50 miles from a major, metropolitan airport in the US since relocation benefits are not provided.

In this position, you will:

Serve as the primary liaison/customer support representative for our automation systems during customer implementations

Implement and verify laboratory automation systems and workflows

Develop and deliver training to customers on Roche platforms, processes and expectations, including planning and coordination for implementation

Apply your laboratory sample processing and middleware/LIS knowledge to identify opportunities in laboratory workflow optimization

Provide first-level support and help problem solve issues that arise for customers during the lifecycle of the solution; refer only the most complex issues to higher levels

Who you are:

Associate’s degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences

3 years previous experience in a clinical laboratory or IT support in a clinical lab environment
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Able and willing to travel 95%, including overnight travel by air/car; currently reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport in the US

ASCP-certified Med Tech or Medical Laboratory Scientist with at least 3 years of experience working with automation, middleware, and/or LIS systems in a clinical laboratory (hospital, IDN, or reference laboratory)

Experience with sample processing via automation and understanding of overall laboratory operations

Effective customer-facing skills: highly proficient communication skills, positive attitude, and willingness to foster strong internal/external customer relationships

Effective time-management, organization, and prioritization skills; ability to work as a field-based individual contributor with independence and autonomy

This is a field-based, fixed term, full-time remote position

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis  is $66,400.00 - 123,200.00.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
