Field Maintenance Technician

Short Description

Perform tasks associated with the maintenance, installation of equipment including CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) and Point-of-Presence equipment, commissioning, tests and acceptance of our transmission and IP Network services.

Job Summary Field Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing Colt services, undertaking Network maintenance tasks to ensure customers receive a high quality service. They are accountable for the successful completion of varied tasks and providing support to the development of solutions to complex problems.Job Description Adhere to change control procedures (GCR) and processes. Manage direct specialist subcontractors/vendors ensuring safe working. Carry out risk assessments. Assist in completing over running PPM tasks from the night or day shifts. Assist in planning of works, raising orders, purchase requisitions and associated documents as directed by the Facilities M&E Manager. Assist in producing monthly statistical reports as directed by the Facilities M&E Manager and Operational Director. Production of flow charts, test sheets etc. for technical documentation as directed by the Facilities M&E Manager. Assisting with sub-contractor/vendor invoices for approval after matching the original orders/delivery notes and that work has been carried out to a satisfactory standard and is complete. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned to the day team, filling in the relevant information on the PPM task sheets. Carry out any reactive repairs as requested. Identify replacement parts required and obtain prices. In addition to the above duties you will be expected to undertake all reasonable tasks as directed by Facilities M&E manager and Operational Director. Carry out escorting duties when required. Assist in raising and closing weekly PPM dockets. Education Electrical, Electronic or IT Technical School or a relevant field
