FIELD MANAGER II
Description Position at JBS USA

Purpose & Scope:  JBS Live Pork, LLC has an opportunity available for a Field Manager in Dalhart, TX.  This position will work directly with farm managers, assistants, team leads, operations team and cross teams to effectively and efficiently improve sow production. You will also help manage and provide documentation of on farm reports, projections, process improvement, and animal welfare audits among other reports. You will work with the Production Manager and veterinarian to arrive at solutions and make decisions that will impact your area and your business unit profitability.  This field manager will be responsible for productivity and cost of production for approximately 18,500 sows on farm.   Principle Accountabilities- 70%- Servicing farms- Coaching and training, making sure SOP’s are followed and helping farms make action plans on areas for opportunity. Making sure farms are audit ready at all times. 30% - Administrated duties – reviewing production numbers for areas of opportunities and inventory control, doing long term projections, facility upkeep and maintenance needs, budgeting and financial reviews to maintain low cost, helping with employee issues, overall biosecurity, safety meetings, flashcard meeting. Principle Responsibilities-High impact farm visits, monitoring SOP compliance and helping develop action plans Coaching, training and developing farm managers and employeesAnimal welfare and environmental compliancesBiosecurity compliance and action planningFinancial reviews and cost controlWorking with safety coordinator to maintain safe working environment and practicesWork with maintenance team and managers on facility upkeep and long term planning needs Work with HR team and mangers on maintaining low turnover and high impact trainings.  Principle Responsibilities:  Sow health management Coaching, training, and developing new farm managersAnimal Welfare and environmental compliance by offering solutionsMedication/vet ordering Bio-Security compliance and action planningAssists in controlling costs associated with feed, supplies, and laborSets long and short term targets and goals for breeding and farrowing successMaintains accurate number integrity for record keepingCoordinates and oversees completion of special projectsMakes recommendations for operational improvements  Required: BS/BA degree in related field or 5 years’ equivalent experience in pork productionComprehensive computer knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Occasional overnight travel - 15%Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teamsExperience in complete Sow Production cycle-  5+ yearsAbility to motivate and inspire people to achieve high goalsMust possess problem solving techniquesDemonstrates knowledge of overall business strategy and operationsDemonstrates written and verbal communication skillsExceptional organizational and communication skillsMust possess valid driver’s licenseAbility to bend, push, pull, twist, and lift approximately 60+lbsConstant/continuous standing and walkingMust maintain level PQA Plus & TQA certificationMust have complete and thorough knowledge of all biosecurity regulations.Must be available to help with yearly budgets.Weekend, evening, and holiday work required as needed – on call Preferred Qualifications:Bi-lingual English/SpanishThe applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:·        Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;·        Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;·        401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule.Better Futures Program –  Online Classes or select 2 Year Community College tuition paid for you or your dependents! Supervisor Development Program: Opportunity to grow your career through leadership training. The company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
