Field Marketing Specialist
Location - Bangalore
To accompany our exponential growth in the India & SAARC region, Fortinet is seeking a Field Marketing Specialist in the IT Industry to help further expand our customer and market footprint in the India & SAARC market by focusing on brand awareness as well as lead and pipeline building activities. The right candidate for this role combines strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
Based in our Bangalore office, this position will report to the Field Marketing Director, India & SAARC Region. The Field Marketing Specialist will be working closely with sales to understand their targets, priorities and key accounts and collaborate with various EMEA marketing departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Work with sales and India Field Marketing to develop, enhance and execute a field marketing plan which best supports business growth and is designed to drive brand awareness, leads, demand and pipeline. The Field Marketing Plan should be in line with corporate, APAC and the regions sales and marketing priorities and messaging, translating strategy into actions.
2) Develop and drive integrated marketing programs which consist of best practice marketing mix elements that generate quality prospects
3) Leverage and localize a repeatable and systematic set of programs to drive demand with the right balance between in-country and global campaigns
4) Manage key marketing activities like lead gen campaigns, events (virtual for the time being and when possible again also physical/live), industry conferences and sponsorships
5) Manage and tracking of results/ROI per spend
6) Manage relationships with agencies
7) Provide reporting and analysis on Field Marketing Activities
8) Work closely with different Fortinet teams (e.g. India Business Development, APAC demand centre) on closed-loop lead generation process around direct marketing activities, database segmentation and web initiatives among others
9) General coordination of events such as end customer days and industry conferences. This includes the preparation and follow up for each event
9) Work closely with sales team on building segment wise and vertical wise “C” level connects and drive demand gen activities.
10) Social Media usage and knowledge
110 Drive digital campaigns and work closely in building the India narrative with PR team.
11) Creation of marketing campaigns in Eloqua
12) Other duties as assigned
13) Role involves operational tasks and on ground execution.
Profile / Education / Experience
3 to 6 years of experience in IT Marketing/high-tech, preferably IT-Security
Minimum 3 years working directly with field sales and sales executives on marketing programs
Experience in marketing program management
Demonstrated success in Field Marketing for a high-tech vendor meeting the revenue goals of sales teams
Complete understanding and proven track record across all field marketing tactics, with integrated campaigns and communications, to drive the pipeline: digital campaigns, call out campaigns, event management, high-touch tactics, etc.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Strong business acumen and work ethic
Ability to work cross-functionally to plan and execute successful marketing programs
Ability to manage the planning and execution of programs in a deadline-driven environment
Positive attitude, self-motivated, result- and data-driven, creative, responsive and ability to set priorities
