Field Mechanic - Red Lake ON
Position Responsibilities
Repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain drilling equipment and mobile support equipment used within the scope of Boart Longyear Drilling operations. 

Main duties
Mechanics perform some or all of the following duties:Check for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctionsDiagnose faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repair requiredAdjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power toolsTest repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets regulatory specificationsClean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipmentPerform repair work on all Boart Longyear Drilling equipmentMay service specialty attachments or components and maintain, adjust and repair such itemsEnsure standards for safe working conditions are observedEstablish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departmentsRequisition parts, materials and suppliesResolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivityExperience with Stopemasters, Epiroc Simbas, Cubex Orions, Minecats and Kubotas would be an assetEmployment requirementsMillwright or Heavy-Duty Mechanic Trade Certification (Red Seal)Completion of secondary school is usually requiredCompletion of three- to five-year apprenticeship programThis position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver's license. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that s/he has a valid driver’s license upon being hired, by submitting a driver’s abstract to Human ResourcesStandard First AidUnderground common core would be an assetBasic Safety Orientation, an assetThis position will be based out of Red Lake, OntarioSchedule to be negotiatedEducation and Experience: 
Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3+ years of directly related experience.
