Position Summary:
Field Operations Assistant: Assist in the management of field experiments conducted at the Emile A. Lods Agronomy research Center on the Macdonald Campus of McGill University. Experiments focus on the management of field crops. Carries out agronomic tasks that include but are not limited to seeding, weeding, and hoeing. Assist in monitoring plant growth, making visual observations, maintaining research plots, and harvesting of samples; Assist with data collection from experimental plots. Any other activities assigned by the Supervisor. This a position that mostly requires work outside in the field.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Knowledge of Microsoft Office softwares. Ability to work outside. Driver's license is an asset.
