The SACROC Field is seeking a Field Injection Operator to fill its vacant position of WAG Operator. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining and surveilling SACROC’s Injection Wells and its Water/Co2 injection pipelines.

 WAG Operator:

Job Responsibilities

-    Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance on all injection wells.

-    WAG wells as scheduled.

-    Clean well strainers and flow meters as needed.

-    Perform accurate well performance tests daily and load them into a database.

-    Troubleshoot injection wells as problems are found.

-    Maintain Co2 and Water injection lines.

-    Work with CO2 plant operators and water stations operators to achieve pressure and volume targets.

-    Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

-    Assist other operators in daily maintenance and operations as needed.

-    Isolate leaks and monitor clean up of leaks as needed.  

-    Assist maintenance group in making repairs.

-    Communicate well issues to supervisor.

-    Monitor SCADA equipment and report issues to immediate Supervisor.

-    Report well issues and follow work order procedures for repairs.

Minimum requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience / Specific knowledge:

1 to 5 years’ experience in EOR floods. “Enhance Oil Recovery”

Good communication and organization skills.

Must be able to pass company required background and drug testing requirements.

Must posses and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

   Must be able to work with a team and take direction from supervisors and keep required work schedules.

   Work on call schedule and overtime.

   Must be able to work without supervision and follow all Company procedures and policies.

   Safety consciences individual and must be familiar with lock-out tag-out.

   Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely.

   Self motivated, dependable and punctual.

   Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions.

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

   Good computer skills.

   Good communication skills.

   Knowledge of Co2 and Water Injection wells.
