Our Service Division is a global organization that is growing aggressively. Through our multi-national operation, we continue to find success through partnership and the provision of innovative custom-engineered electrical power solutions and services by way of low & medium voltage electrical distribution packages, electrical and valve servicing, and a wide number of automation systems.
The Field Resource Planning Specialist is a critical business enabler, being responsible for proactive and dynamic coordination, scheduling and dispatching of our field service capability globally, including logging work order notes and detailing activity, updates, assignments, etc. The Field Resource Planning Specialist works directly with Field Service Supervisors and Superintendents, and Field Engineers and Technicians, to update schedules and strategically plan mobilization domestically and internationally. The Field Resource Planning Specialist works directly with our customers, in all geographies, scheduling dates for onsite activity while also acting as the initial point of contact in the event of emergency or call out.

Essential Responsibilities
The Field Resource Planning Specialist will:
+ Provide a seamless experience for Powell’s customers across North American by playing a key role in managing and enhancing our field service capability response time
+ Reduce the administrative burden on Field Service Supervisors, Superintendents, Engineers and Technicians across North American by interfacing with customers and scheduling service calls
+ Support Powell in meeting its ISO9001 commitments by managing the onboarding and safety training of all Field Engineers and Technicians, and all Subcontractors and Contingent workers
+ Reduce the administrative burden on Field Service Supervisors across North America by managing and coordinating the recruitment and onboarding of Subcontractors and Contingent workers
+ Contribute to business growth by monitoring for opportunities and proactively coordinating with sales, purchasing, production, and field service personnel to facilitate warranty resolution requirements
+ Enable Powell to operate in new and existing constituencies by managing and maintaining our Contractor Licenses across all US States
+ Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by managing the inventory of equipment and supplies to ensure field service technicians have the necessary tools for their job
Minimum Qualifications
+ BS/BA Degree with minimum 3 years relevant work experience
+ In lieu of BS/BA, minimum 7 years relevant progressive work experience required
Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements
• Proven experience of working within a global service organization
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fully remote work environment
• Proven work experience as a Resource Coordination or Resource Planning role
• Knowledge of service delivery and customer satisfaction concepts
• Proficient in using field service software and office applications
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable with interactions at all levels of the internal and external stakeholders, including C-Suite
Working & Environmental Conditions
• Willing to respond dynamically to business or customer requirements across North America through the working day, evenings, and weekends.
• Must participate in Powell's Driver Safety Program and travel up to 25%.
