Toll Brothers, America's leading luxury home builder, seeks a Safety Manager for our team in Freehold, New Jersey.
What is the opportunity?
The Safety Manager is responsible for multiple divisions across several states. Will be monitoring and maintaining a schedule that encompasses planning, field/division meetings, responding to job site injuries, conducting physical job site safety inspections/audits, and responding to OSHA or other local governing bodies when applicable. Will travel often to facilitate large group trainings and meetings with both Toll Brothers’ staff and vendors.
What are the primary responsibilities?
Travel to multiple divisions to ensure and promote Toll’s safety policies and procedures nationally. Conduct site visits that include physical safety inspections, photos and documented reports that supports our field staffs’ daily efforts to keep trades compliant. (All Safety Managers are responsible for scheduling, booking, and maintaining their own expense reports associated with travel.) Manage Toll employees from a safety participation and enforcement aspect. Assist field staff with day to day reporting and participation within our own Toll online safety tools. Some of these tasks include writing/responding to emails, maintaining good vendor information, problem solving for multiple divisions often pertaining to vendor pushback, distributing information and training materials, and regular follow up efforts that promote Toll’s safety culture and desire to be the builder of choice for vendors. Respond to accident and OSHA inquiries. Assist with official government document requests, guide division employees to ensure proper documentation and reporting within Toll’s required reporting tools, and when required, attend OSHA investigations and/or informal conferences associated with any citations issued as a result of job site safety violations. Run, review, and distribute reports for all assigned territories that pertain to the Toll field staff and their overall participation in the corporate mandated safety processes and procedures.Special projects or assignments such as developing products for the Toll Store, Master Data Sheet or employee spreadsheet maintenance, testing and implementing new products and procedures.This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the nation's most respected Fortune 500 companies!

Critical thinker that can overcome resistance and challenges faced when dealing with reluctant construction professionals and vendors, respond to a variety of situations and emergencies often involving injuries and/or government actions Advanced safety regulation knowledge and retention of information pertaining OSHA and/or the government entity that enforces safety compliance in each area Superb time management and multi-tasking, will be able to handle commitments across time zones and perform in a management capacity while still performing admin, scheduling, and reporting duties Great public speaker who can field questions but redirect a group to stay on task, also able to deliver consistent messages from division to division Advanced communication skills to be able to connect with an audience, provide clear verbal and written communications, and ensure effective documentation of material Self-starter who works well independently and will uphold Toll Brother’s core values while requiring minimal supervisionDo you have these qualifications?
Essential:OSHA 10, willing to complete OSHA 30 certificate 3+ years’ experience in Safety Management with a focus on construction and/or Residential Construction with safety training Ability to travel well in multiple time zones and stay on schedule Preferred:5+ years’ experience Residential Construction management CHST, CSP, or other safety certifications a plusWarranty experience a plus
