COMPENSATION
Annual Minimum - Maximum$100,000.00 - $130,000.00The Field Sales Manager oversees the sales activities and performance of all Planning Advisors in the region, including new advisors during the Planning Advisor Development Period, by continuing training activities both in the office and in field to enhance presentation and sales techniques, ethics, and methods of maintaining sales quotas.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Promote sales and enhance the business and goodwill of Forest Lawn.
Partner with Human Resources to recruit new Planning Advisors
Instruct and supervise Planning Advisors in their duties, including Forest Lawn’s sales business policies as well as all applicable law, policies, and procedures.
Assist and supervise Planning Advisors in generating customer leads, giving presentations, and making sales.
Support all Planning Advisors in their sales efforts.
Supervise Sales Office Managers.
Report and document personnel issues to Regional Sales Manager and Human Resources in a timely manner.
Perform any action necessary to render complete services to Forest Lawn and its customers.
Assign delinquent policies in an equitable manner to Planning Advisors who will be responsible to follow up with the family or as instructed by Regional Sales Manager.
Train Planning Advisors on the usage of the equipment and software provided to them.
Ensure that Planning Advisors are able to conduct a park tour, present funeral insurance information, tablet information, as well as post need sales presentations. Ensure that Planning Advisors are capable of completing contracts and documents related to these activities.
Support Regional Sales Manager in his/her effort to develop and grow the business in the region.
Assign Planning Advisors to specific areas for prospecting and ensure new advisors are able to conduct a park tour and present the planning center.
Manage one or more phone nights each week and ensure that advisors are using proper phone techniques.
Oversee all direct mail pieces to be sent out.
Attend all managers’ meeting and promote Forest Lawn through approved community events.
Assist the Regional Sales Director in conducting weekly sales meetings.
Manage the region in the absence of the Regional Sales Director.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; and/or 4-year sales management experience
Valid CA Driver’s License, including state required levels of active auto insurance, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle
Must be able to acquire Cemetery Salesperson License
Attainment of Limited Life Insurance License within six months of hire date
Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
Excellent Customer Service and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Cemetery and/or Mortuary experience
Bilingual
Knowledge of CRM or Salesforce system

DRUG TESTING POLICY
