Field Service Engineer - Material Handling Equipment

ABOUT THE ROLE

\n

Honeywell Intelligrated  is seeking  Field Service Controls Engineers  to provide onsite support to our customers distribution centers in the Southeast region.

\n

As a Field Service Engineer, you will install and maintain new and old material handling and sortation equipment, respond to emergency service calls, and overall provide general customer support for all Intelligrated and Legacy made equipment, including sortation, AS/RS shuttle systems, robotic application, palletizers, cranes, and multiple types of conveying equipment.

\n

You will also gather data utilizing specific reports and Intelligrated procedures, and supply various forms and custom reports to the customer to assist in sales of parts and service contracts. As necessary, CSE will assist with the field training of new employees and may receive in-house assignments covering technical support, training, or documentation.

\n

You will  travel  throughout and reside in any of the following states following areas: OK, AR, TX, TN, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, NC, SC.

\n

Responsibilities:

\n\nMake travel arrangements on a daily or weekly basis.\nBe capable of traveling at a moment notice weekday or weekend.\nCarry mechanical and electrical tools from job to job, including laptop and tool case.\nDiscuss objectives with the customer when on-site.\nDevelop or follow a schedule for completion of objectives while on-site.\nPerform or assist with mechanical and electrical installation or modification to Intelligrated and Legacy equipment.\nTroubleshoot and debug all issues including mechanical, electrical, or programming using the provided drawings, direction or write sections of the PLC program.\nProgram Allen Bradley PLCs using 3 or more PLC programming software packages.\nModify, adjust, or develop robotic application code.\nMark-up drawings (Red Line) with any updates or changes as required.\nCommunicate issues, successes, and delays with the Customer, project manager, team members and regional management daily. This may include but not exclusive to Electronic Issue Reports.\nParticipate in a closeout meeting with the Office and the Customer at completion of each assignment.\nWrite a detailed daily / weekly report for each job location and send to the office.\nComplete a weekly electronic expense report and send in the receipts to the office.\nSend all copies of programs, redline drawings, and weekly reports to the office for proper archival at completion of job.\nTrain and support Field Service Technicians on the equipment operation and PLC controls where required or necessary.\nLead and complete projects.\nMonitoring and approving PCard Purchases for assigned Techs.\nMonitoring and approving T&E (Travel) Purchases for assigned Techs.\nFull HPD development and mentoring for assigned Techs.\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nThe following combination of education and experience:\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 3 year of field experience.\nAssociate’s Degree in Engineering and 5 years of field experience.\nHigh school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of experience.\n\n\nExpert Allen Bradley PLC Programming skills.\nDiagnostic proficiency with 3 types of PLC (Modicon, PLC5, PLC500).\nStrong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude and experience.\nValid Driver's license.\nReliable transportation to a major airport (Must be within a One Hour commute of nearest airport).\n\n

\n\nPrior Customer Service Experience\nProficiency with MS Office products and Operating Systems (i.e. Windows XP)\nWorking experience with electrical wiring and reading of schematics.\nExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written\nGood organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to work independently (self-starter) and with teams.\n\n
