FIELD SERVICE ENG

Weatherford have an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role is currently based in Aberdeen but may be required to work in other regions and around the world.

The position is responsible for running downhole tools specific to Casing Recovery, Fishing & Milling.

Key responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the job whilst at rig site in a professional manner  Participate in test projects UK and possibly other regions worldwide  Maintenance and preservation of down hole equipment offshore preparation of equipment prior to shipment to rig site, if necessary  Prepare equipment for backload and keep accurate inventory records  Quality control of equipment prior to running offshore  Perform all jobs according to operating procedures  Play an active role in the QHSE work Submit lesson learned report to share Knowledge with colleagues Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools Maintains equipment, facilities and work area in a presentable and safe working conditions Monitor and analyses data to recommend services and solutions Demonstrates knowledge & skills to perform work processes according to their role level experience & competence Performs job planning, preparation of tools & equipment, mobilization, job execution and submits all job-related data, not limited to job reports, WPTS data entry, observation cards while on-site, service tickets or logs with the required signatory, and any other documents required to successfully invoice the client within an acceptable time Available on 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs Tests, operates & maintains tools & equipment as per work instructions, according to policies & procedures in safe and presentable working conditions against their level of training & competence Develops and maintains a positive relationship with clients to ensure repeat business Fully responsible for delivering superior Service Quality to the client Effectively manage inventory and supplies required at the well site Follows up failures with the R&M team and ensures failure reports are closed with clients Contribute, participate or lead equipment failure investigations that support Root Cause Analysis reports Where the level of the role requires, oversees, leads and mentors Field Operation crew members Performs other duties and activities safely  within physical constraints of the job

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry Experience running downhole tools is essential, fishing tool experience preferred.  Good knowledge of Plug & Abandonment operations, wellbore construction and general rig operations is essential. Must be pro-active, able to supervise operations when at the rig site and communicate well with all parties involved as part of a team as well as on their own.  Must be available to travel at short notice if required  Committed to HSE Excellent problem solver Fundamentals of Mechanics and/or Hydraulics Mathematics Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving Good reading and writing skills, strong judgment, and decision-making to be in line with policies & procedures Time management Quality Control Analysis to ensure the product meets required standards Service Orientation Physically capable to undertake the tasks required to perform the role Information & task ordering & ability to identify when a problem may occur and, where possible, to understand the solution Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery Ability to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications
