Field Service Engineer
Job Title: Traveling Controls Engineer

Job Description

This position involves traveling to large material handling sites to perform controls qualifications, specifically I/O checks, on newly installed equipment. The role requires a strong understanding of Python or Java, as the engineer will be tasked with modifying scripts for site-specific checklists. The position ideally suits someone based in a central location, with projects primarily located in the western region.

ResponsibilitiesTravel to various sites up to 80% of the time, with an estimated schedule of Monday to Friday over two weeks, followed by a one-week break.Perform I/O checks on 10-20 conveyance lines at material handling sites.Utilize and modify Python scripts for site-specific qualifications.Engage in PLC programming, primarily Ladder Logic with Allen Bradley, comprising 75% of the role.Ensure vendor quality assurance and compliance with IQ/OQ standards.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in PLC Programming.Proficiency in Python or Java.Strong controls engineering knowledge.Ability to travel extensively.Work Environment

When not traveling, candidates have the flexibility to work remotely from home. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing team with potential for continued work following the initial contract.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.
