STERIS is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our team, based in Taiwan. You will provide technical support, maintenance, and repair services for capital equipment in hospitals, both directly and through distributor partners. You will be diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, installing and configuring new systems, and offering ongoing training and support to distributors and medical staff.
With your deep understanding of capital equipment and systems, along with the ability to promptly identify and resolve technical problems, you collaborate effectively with commercial teams and channel partners to deliver top-tier support to Customers.
What You Will Do Troubleshoot and repair equipment, install new systems, and provide preventive maintenance services. Provide technical support to our distributor partners and Customers, answer distributor and customer inquiries, and educate distributor and customers on proper use and maintenance of the equipment. Under supervision, evaluate basic, customer biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs, and as assigned, perform PM and safety/environmental inspections. Work in close collaboration with service engineers from distributors on troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment. Be well-versed in STERIS capital equipment and deliver comprehensive service training to service engineers from our distributor partners. Dedicate ample time in the field to support distributor partners in their technical and service endeavors, fostering strong relationships and deepening understanding of customer needs. Maintain communications with customers as directed, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to strong customer relations and ongoing customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with commercial teams to collect market data and identify potential opportunities for capital purchases. Collaboratively design capital equipment floor plans with customers for a new business project. Build and maintain long term partnerships with distributors and customers via truthfulness, integrity, and delivering on commitments. Maintains the skills and knowledge to service the entire product line to customers. Consistently acts in a manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations while considering the reasonableness of request and fairness to STERIS. What You Will Bring Adequate experience and expertise in maintaining and servicing medical capital equipment in hospitals and healthcare settings Enhanced English proficiency to comprehend operation and service manuals, as well as to communicate effectively with others Ability to accurately troubleshoot and repair medical equipment Excellent communication and customer service skills Flexibility to travel and work autonomously Knowledge of medical device regulatory standards and processes Self-motivated, responsible, highly self-driven, able to work independently and willing to learn Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills Able to travel overseas for training
