Service Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will execute medium-to-high-complexity service work – installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits – in accordance with ABB processes, standards, and safety guidelines.Reporting to Service Manager, you will be delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers and in close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.This position is based in Milan, Italy.You will get training in our factory in Sweden and locally by traveling with colleagues. .You will be mainly accountable for:•\t•\tConducting repairs, calibration, commissioning, identifying technical problems, and analyzing them remotely or on-site. At our customer sites in Italy.•\tCoordinating, preparing, and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality.•\tPreparing standard lists, as well as documents and reports to be signed by the customer. •\tReporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed•\tIdentifying potential equipment failures and taking corrective actions, troubleshooting complex equipment failures, and making recommendations to avoid the problem in the future.•\tMaking suggestions for product, quality, and customer service improvements, and discussing them with management.•\tEnsuring that Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices are of high standard and working to eliminate unsafe practices and incidents.•\tConsistently applying functional processes while considering links to other teams.

Qualifications for the role

You are highly skilled in electronic and mechanical service and calibration, and you enjoy working with electro-mechanical instruments in the field service engineering market.You bring 2-10 years of experience in this domain, having worked as a Field Service Engineer with electro-mechanical instruments.You possess an enhanced knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, and data communication. Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry is meritorious.You are passionate about a collaborative, solution-focused approach and have strong written and spoken communication skills.You have a demonstrated track record in Electronic or Mechatronics engineering, holding an Engineering diploma or degree in these fields.You are at ease communicating in English, both speaking and writing.
