Metso is seeking a motivated, Field Service Engineer to join our high achieving Service team specializing in Mineral Processing Analytical Equipment Inspections, Maintenance and Repairs.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
The Field Service Engineer/Supervisor is responsible for providing hands-on field Installation, commissioning, repairs, technical support and reliability for Metso customers and/or third-party contractors in existing and/or newly acquired retrofit/rebuild/replacement equipment. Project the image of Metso as the service-oriented company to depend on for competent field service support on mining equipment for maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and operation. The Field Service Engineer/Supervisor position requires strong experience with a background in mechanical, maintenance and reliability Lokotruck & CAT Engine and work as well as in depth knowledge of mining equipment.
Prior to arrival at field assignment location, study, plan, and prepare for field work based on the detailed scope of work, drawings, specifications, Metso and customer policies/procedures/rules/regulations/safety, specific instructions, etc. Provide technical and hands-on service during demolition and installation, checkout, start-up, and commissioning to ensure safety and proper equipment and system erection is in accordance with contract designs and drawing requirements. Perform Field Service/Supervisor activities & routines (both at customer site and office-based) with support/supervision level in-line with training certification. Field Service routines include: Basic customer problem-solving and/or troubleshooting (expert level) Repairs & preventative maintenance advisory and work with various types of Lokotrack, process equipment such as crushers, conveyers, pumps, screens, mills, etc. Advisory maintenance planning (Including shutdown planning) Perform work using safe and proper methods and procedures to maintain and repair Metso equipment. Technical advisory service and training customer for maintenance and operation the Lokotrack Equipment inspections/audit, maintenance & reliability with recommendations, Assembly/disassembly, installation & commissioning. Prepare and provide weekly and quarterly report and break down report Trade specific discipline work (hydraulics, mechanics, automation, reliability etc) operation and maintenance activities Remote support to colleagues and customers
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mining/mineral processing equipment High-level fault-finding aptitude. Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office - Word and Excel. Must have current motor vehicle license. Must be physically fit and able to pass random medical and drug tests. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret P&ID, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics. Ability to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required, including overseas, Passport is required. Clearly understand and competency in Risk management and safety rule compliance. Full OEM training on Metso Analytical Equipment provided.
