FSE & Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybridThis role is contributing to the Electrification Service Business based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tWorking with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.•\tPerforming field service tasks, identifying technical issues, preventive maintenance and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.•\tPreparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.•\tTroubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.•\tPerforming installation , commissioning and testing activity in service categories and products.

Qualifications for the role

\tDegree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering. \tMore than 2 years of experience in LV and MV switchgear, Protection Relay, working as service engineer/project engineer with switchgear technologies. \tSound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing of insert specific product and industry/sector. \tAbility to travel to domestic, onshore, offshore and international sites. \tProven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
