Job Description

Water Treatment Technical Specialist - Site-Based Position

We are seeking a skilled professional to serve as our on-site technical expert, offering the following refined scope of responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Customer Relations:

Serve as the principal technical consultant and customer liaisonProvide comprehensive on-site service supportCollaborate with Area Field Services Leadership and Senior Representatives

Analytical & Maintenance Duties:

Conduct precise water analysis and manage laboratory sample coordinationPerform detailed equipment maintenance and calibration, including:Advanced instrumentation (pH, Conductivity, flow, ORP)Water treatment systems (UF, RO, EDI)Pumps, motors, and control systems

Operational Management:

Generate thorough on-site reports documenting all technical interventionsMaintain optimal inventory levels of critical spare componentsImplement system improvements through procedural recommendations

Service Commitment:

Participate in structured on-call rotation (one week in four)Provide emergency response services as required

Knowledge Transfer:

Deliver comprehensive training to client personnel on equipment operationMentor company trainees in technical operations

Qualifications

Required:

Higher education qualification in Science, Engineering or technical disciplineOR substantial mechanical expertise gained through apprenticeship or practical site maintenance experienceValid UK driving licence

Preferred:

A-Level Chemistry or demonstrable equivalent practical knowledge

Professional Competencies:

Essential Technical Proficiencies:

Comprehensive knowledge of water treatment systems operation and maintenanceProven mechanical maintenance capabilities

Valuable Additional Experience:

Industrial environment exposureProficiency with safety protocols and documentation (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, permit systems)
