We are seeking to hire an individual with a background in medical diagnostics and ideally blood banking to serve as our Field Service Technician. As Field Service Engineer, you will be providing corrective maintenance, installation and calibration of equipment at the customer sites. Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

Managing the parts inventoryMaintaining adequate trunk stock and accurate documentationAdhering to all company policies and maintaining a neat and clean work environmentEnsuring all deadlines are met for installment of new equipment and repaired equipmentCompleting regular training to stay abreast of current information and sharing best practices with team members and training them as neededMaintaining a professional image and communicating effectively with all internal and external customers and staff

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience from military or biomedical training plus 2 years of field experience as a Field Service Engineer

3+ years of experience in the in-vitro diagnostics industry preferredExperience in repairing and using instruments used for Diagnostic Blood Banking, Blood Typing and Antibody screening, preferredMust be willing to travel up to 25% with average overnight travel 1-2 nights/weekMust have a valid driver’s licenseBachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology a plus – MT (ASCP)
