Job: Field Service Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to install, test, and troubleshoot PLC-based gas and chemical delivery equipment. You will be the primary contact for customer support, handling requests, and providing timely solutions. This role requires work from the CTS office and regular travel to customer sites, both local and remote. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to multitask, and willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage field service activities with customers and internal teams Install, set up, calibrate, and test UHP gas systems at customer sites Upload and troubleshoot PLC and HMI code for Allen Bradley and Siemens devices Install, repair, and replace electro-mechanical components and assemblies Analyze equipment performance and schedule maintenance and calibration as needed Develop solutions for issues encountered during field service startup and commissioning Recommend modifications to achieve optimal quality within equipment limits Identify and address process issues, problems, or opportunities Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong relationship-building skills Expertise in gas and chemical delivery equipment installation, startup, and troubleshooting Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming High electro-mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and engineering drawings Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Exceptional customer service skills, including effective listening Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and as part of a team Flexibility to work overtime, holidays, and off-shift hours as needed Willingness to travel worldwide up to 75% as required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Valid driver’s license

Education

High school diploma required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ field service experience with UHP gas and chemical delivery equipment

Minimum 5 years’ PLC/HMI programming experience, preferably with Allen Bradley and Siemens architecture
