Eaton´s new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, integrates all current activities into a much larger site. Campus is completed by the end of 2023, and the 16,500 m² site will house research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof and will create up to 100 additional jobs.

What you’ll do:

Main task in this role is to act as a Field Service Engineer (FSE) in Finland and Nordic countries, working in large data center projects as UPS systems commissioning engineer. You provide first class commissioning service as a part of the project and commissioning teams. You are a professional electrician, good team player and you enjoy technical challenges.

 

You can be either very experienced in similar tasks and can work as a Senior Field Service Engineer having more leading technical responsibility on commissioning activities and supporting the rest of the team, or in case you don't have comprehensive experience yet you can work as a Field Service Engineer having the opportunity to grow in a UPS specialist role as a part of the team.

 

You will work also in other Nordic countries as needed, travelling time to Nordic level is 25%.
 

Main responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing Data Centre commissioning, on behalf of Eaton Field Service in local service unit as well as within the cluster level if requiredProvide the highest level of technical expertise in all Hyperscale commissioning activities.Support and train local Field Service Engineers in such activitiesOnboard, coach and mentor new Field Service Engineers that join EatonManage key account technical escalations providing support including site visits, to engineers and customers alike, drive escalations to conclusion and provide feedback where necessary.Work closely with Project Managers, advising on commissioning considerations and assisting on selection of suitable engineers, carry out site visits as required.Assist Project Management Organization with support of high profile clients, providing technical advice and attending site visits as required.Maintain direct links with business units (factories) and act as focal point for all technical exchange regarding the commissioning procedures and testing.Manage sub contractor teams were requiredPerform Health & Safety audits of Field Service Engineer and subcontractors ensuring the high standards required by Eaton are maintained.

 

Qualifications: Installer electrical background, suitable electrical education, B.sc. In Electrical engineering is advantage3 to 5 years of work experience, with 2+ years of experience in the fieldSkills: Fluent level of Finnish and EnglishThree phase electrical installation or maintenance experience essential.Good understanding of switch panels and power distribution.
