About the position: We're in search of a Field Service Engineer to become a valuable member of our Field Service department. In this role, you'll delve into customer issues, applications, and usage of Raymond equipment, collaborating closely with Engineering to devise tailored solutions for both new and existing products, addressing global or customer-specific concerns. Travel is anticipated to be up to ~35%. You will: * Conduct on-site visits to customer locations to gain insights into their use of Raymond equipment and comprehensively understand reported issues. * Establish effective communication with customer management teams, Solutions and Support Center technicians, and internal management, ensuring seamless interaction. * Collaborate with Engineering by providing field feedback to facilitate the development of new designs or modifications to existing ones, specifically addressing customer requirements. * Utilize historical data and systems to assess problem scope and urgency for resolution. * Extend field support the corporate product health team and new product development teams, offering insights that may lead to project direction adjustments in response to evolving business needs and customer feedback. * Provide guidance to field technicians on project-specific matters. * Collaborate with interdepartmental and external Solutions and Support teams. * Deliver support to customers, field service, suppliers, and factories on relevant issues. * Gain proficiency in all Raymond products, software interface solutions and customization between systems, such as battery management systems, vehicle controllers, and charger systems, suggesting improvements or standardization across platforms. * Keep management informed of issue and progress, status, changes, priorities of resolution. About you: * Bachelor’s degree in engineering. * One or more years of directly related engineering experience is required * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong technical aptitude, analytical problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. * Strategic, creative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated, and critical thinker. * Ability to constructively interface with all levels of the organization. * Superior attention to detail and standards of quality. * Ability to manage competing priorities. It would be great if you had: * Direct customer-facing experience is strongly preferred. * Previous experience in Field Service within the material handling industry. About the total compensation package: Salary - $72,000 and $106,000 depending on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
