Responsibilities Make an impact Our Field Service Engineers are responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment as well as emergency corrective measures according at our customer service agreements and internal routines and procedures. You will also be part of the preparedness group and need to support with acute incidents that can not be amended remotely by our other support teams within Controls and Software. Your main responsibilities will be: You will identify possibilities of improvements and upgrades and communicate these to the right stakeholder within Swisslog. You will work towards maintaining good customer relations and act as Swisslog’s public face and jointly with the customer plan, carry out work in a way that ensures good customer satisfaction. You will take part in continuous improvement initiatives and sharing knowledge within Swisslog. You understand the importance of Health and Safety regulations and make sure you always conduct your work in a safe matter. You will be part of a team of Field Service Engineers and report to the Head of Field Service Italy/ Iberica. Application Requirements What you need to succeed It is essential that the successful candidate has several years of previous experience as a service technician, preferably within electronics or automation and broad experience in electronics, control systems, mechanics or pneumatics. You have a a technical degree or vocational certificate in a relevant area combined with strong administrative skills using different computer systems. You are used to trouble shooting and finding solutions to complex problems in a structured way. You are also used to working with documentation and reportings. You hold a valid drivers license and you are used to physical work and working at heights. You are fluent in Italian and English in writing and speaking. If you also understand Spanish we would consider it meritorious.
