As the Field Engineer you are responsible for the service activity on products supplied by Baxter/Hillrom (Smart Beds / Safe Patient handling equipment) you will cover several accounts based in Leeds, North Staffordshire, Midlands and Manchester.

What You'll Be Doing:

Install, service, repair and maintain products, distributed by Baxter/Hillrom .Establish & maintain timely customer communications & relationships, along with other key partners (e.g. team members and business units).Report all relevant service activity, ensuring updated and accurate service data in the service system (all work orders should be closed within the same day).Responsible for maintaining and documenting the assigned calibration equipmentProvide technical support for in-bound calls from customer & patients, detail the job on the system and undertake the relevant actions.Maintain up-to-date technical competence in assigned products by successfully completing the relevant training and development.Be the technical expert and support for customers, account managers and engineers. This includes being the technical escalation point for the designated product groupProvide technical feedback into contracts & tender submissionsReview critical metrics regularly and adapt the working practices to ensure service level is maximised

What You'll Bring:Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent level qualification in the relevant engineering field (e.g medical technology, electronic, mechanical) would be advantageous.Strong attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood organisation and prioritisation skillsGood proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel)Good technical problem solving skillsIn-depth level of practical experience in the relevant technical/engineering discipline with measured KPIsDemonstrable experience in meeting business critical timeframes and deadlinesSuccessful experience in managing and engaging with customersGood IT knowledge on general connectivity, network integration of devices, wireless protocols, mobile network technologies, software support and cyber security standards would be advantageous.

Job RequirementsParticipating in 24 hr on-call (where required)Lone-workingFrequent and regular travel within the assigned geographical region in UK/Ireland. May need to travel to other locations in UK, Ireland & Europe on an occasional basis - Full UK/Ireland driving licence
