Field Service Engineer
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines in our customers site (pulp and paper industries). Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation business, in the Pulp & Paper Service division in Spain. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tWorking with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.•\tPerforming field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.•\tPreparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.•\tTroubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.•\tPerform calibration operations, preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment according to service contracts•\tContribute to customer relationship by being a force of technical proposal in order to improve operations and customer service.•\tContribute to the development of the business by identifying new business opportunities with customersYou will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the role\tYou are highly skilled in high quality laboratory instruments and the pulp & paper industries market.\tYou have 5 years of experience in maintenance and/or metrology knowledge.\tTechnical training (FP, CFGS, etc.) in Measure and regulation, electro technique, maintenance.\tYou’re willing to travel up to 80% of the time.\tYou are at ease communicating in both English and Spanish. French will be highly valued.
