Responsibilities Arcfield is seeking a Field Service Engineering Manager to oversee fielding and technical support activities associated with a Cross Domain Solution (CDS) engineered, developed, and fielded under contract to the US Government. Candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management of Fielding Team activities associated with engineering cross domain information transfer solutions to meet customer mission requirements, completing installation/integration of CDS systems at customer sites, and providing customer technical support. Responsibilities include: Apply strong leadership, organizational, and communications skills to oversee day-to-day management of the CDS Fielding Team. Oversee processes associated with hiring and maintaining Fielding Team members. This will include completion of Performance Evaluations and addressing of staff performance issues. Maintain a strong working knowledge of NSA NCDSMO Raise-the-Bar (RTB) requirements across all members of the Fielding Team. Ensure Fielding Team members maintain awareness of functional and security changes in new releases of CDS products. Coordinate timely feedback to the development team leads on any concerns related to planned capabilities. Develop mechanism(s) to allow visibility of team tasking to the CDS Program Manager and other CDS program area leads. For example, Kanban board available through Sharepoint. Plan, conduct, and supervise tasking associated with analysis of network infrastructure component integration with CDS products. For example, diode analysis, enterprise audit management, cybersecurity alerting, and failover/load balancing mechanisms. Coordinate system engineering activities to ensure site integration of CDS capabilities efficiently and effectively meet site mission objectives, cybersecurity requirements, and NCDSMO RTB requirements. Oversee site installation readiness processes. Oversight will include coordination of installation planning meetings, completion of Installation Readiness Review (IRR) processes, establishment of Site Workbooks, and execution of site installation kickoff meetings. Coordinate scheduling of site-based technical support, system upgrades, and new system installations. Assign Fielding Team members to support on-site operations. Ensure prompt completion of post-travel activities such as Hot Wash meetings, Trip Report submission, and Expense Report completion. Ensure PRs/CRs recorded during customer events are discussed during Hot Wash meetings and are thoroughly represented in Trip Reports. Oversee customer Help Desk operations. Support execution of customer training and outreach events. Included will be assignment of Fielding Team members to support: in-house or customer site training; virtual or in-person customer overview briefings/demonstrations; and conferences attendance to provide system technical demonstrations. Oversee development and maintenance of all system training materials. Monitor compliance with NCDSMO network isolation requirements for development/technical support operations. As needed, promptly resolve compliance issues. Continually seek opportunities to refine Fielding Team processes to gain efficiency and/or effectiveness. Report Fielding Team status to the Government CDS product team though routine customer meetings such as the monthly Internal Program Review (IPR) meeting and through the weekly Master Integrated Program Schedule (MIPS). Represent Fielding Team and customer site interests during Engineering Review Board (ERB) meetings held by the Government CDS product team. Coordinate support to system administration of in-house development and customer support infrastructure, if needed. Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposal (RFPs) and participate in bid and proposal processes. Qualifications Minimum of 10-12 years of experience with a bachelors, or 14-16 years of experience in lieu of a bachelors degree. Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance Expertise with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) system engineering, fielding requirements, and customer support operations. Strong understanding of the objectives of NSA’s CDS RTB requirements. Detailed understanding of CDS RTB requirements pertaining to network isolation, system fielding, system update, and customer communications. Proven leadership experience including an understanding of the role of leaders in motivating individuals and promoting team synergy. Strong organizational skills. Proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form. Strong analysis, evaluation, and judgment skills (critical thinking). Understanding of Agile methodologies and their application to system fielding and customer support operations. Strong background with customer support and training operations. Experience integrating systems into established enterprise network environments. Background with Linux, scripting, and networking. Strong desire to impress teammates and customers with a high degree of attention to detail Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
