Purpose of PositionThe Manager, Test Engineering leads and manages the Field Service teams that perform the installation of visual and display systems – new, modifications and upgrades – for full flight simulators in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities Establish a quality-focused environment to reduce rework and achieve high customer satisfaction. Liaise between customer and program managers/project liaisons to ensure effective completion of projects. Achieve schedule requirements and be able to adjust and compensate for schedule changes. Identify opportunities for performance improvements and implement strategies to guide production operations. Achieve optimum teammate levels to achieve forecasts and budget. Develop and implement cross training and utilization program to achieve maximum productivity. Effectively lead, manage and support remote (on-site) field service teams. Travel expectations: 30% - 50% Minimum Education/ExperienceAssociates degree in applicable field and a minimum of 6 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a supervisory role. Background in electro-mechanical or aerospace manufacturing a plus.
