Field Service Power Generation Technician - Level III

**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in White Hall, WV.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
+ Completing repair activities on generators or components
+ Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
+ Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
+ Maintain detailed records of service
+ Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
+ Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
+ Maintain own tools
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
+ Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
+ High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
+ Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
**(Advanced):**
+ Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
+ Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch.
+ Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.
+ Setup, troubleshoot and repair basic paralleling generator systems.
+ Understanding switchgear schematics.
+ Able to train Entry/Intermediate Technicians/Mechanics.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Preferred 10 years or more of experience on multiple engine / generator platforms.

+ Caterpillar
+ Generac
+ Ariel
+ Waukesha
+ Kohler
Preferred previous field experience relevant to above platforms
+ Working knowledge of DOT Compliance and hours of service
+ Load Banking experience
This position may require Class B CDL's
- A current valid license is required for this role
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- 3 years driving experience
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
