Role Definition
Installs, maintains and troubleshoots equipment at the customer's location using a set of tools, parts and technical diagrams. Customer service assignment include on-site preventive maintenance and inspection service work, call-out services and commissioning activities on turbomachinery and package systems.
Responsibilities
• Effective use of test equipment to diagnose and identify malfunctions. Refer to schematics and manufacturers' specifications to resolve problems. Mentor field service representatives. Provide technical coaching to peers.
• Use hand tools, gauges and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts. Utilize digital tools and systems.
• Check for common causes of trouble, such as dirty or defective components, clean and lubricate equipment as needed.
• Perform routine installations and adjust equipment as appropriate within normal procedures.

• Monitors the operation of mechanical maintenance procedures.
• Reviews power supply equipment malfunction logs to identify potential problems.
• Provides technical solutions for complex mechanical problems related to power supply equipment.

• Consults on maintenance cycle optimization, emergency situations and complicated repairs.
Mechanical Maintenance (Oil and Gas): Knowledge of mechanical equipment and the preventive maintenance; ability to repair or replace faulty mechanical parts used in the exploration, production or refining of hydrocarbons.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Establishes and monitors equipment malfunction logs and diagnosis system; identifies potential problems.
• Diagnoses problems and malfunctions in a wide variety of mechanical equipment.
• Demonstrates experience with installing and supporting all major equipment on site.
• Creates preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical equipment and structures.
• Recommends protective measures to avoid oil and gas equipment malfunctions.

• Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with company, local and federal regulations.

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC): Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC); ability to design, implement, and operate automated process controls.

• Coaches others on using advanced methods and techniques in control system design and implementation processes.
• Collaborates with other departments to design and deploy systems/processes.
• Proactively addresses malfunctions and failures in PLC logic design.
• Consults on and promotes the use of advanced PLC commands and programming languages.
• Monitors and improves the productivity, reliability, and accuracy of PLC-operated machines.
• Supervises the technical support for the PLC system, including evaluation, implementation, consulting, and operation.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Evaluates business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution.
• Resolves difficult or high-impact equipment and systems problems.
• Monitors machine performance and history; addresses excessive maintenance or repair needs.
