Your role at Baxter

This position is located in Québec, Canada.

The Field Service Representative performs multiple functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products. Additionally, will provide delivery, removal, and service support for products (Smart beds, Operating Room tables lights and booms) in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. This position requires operating a fleet vehicle in a safe manner as well as direct customer contact. Cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks and minor to complex repairs of products will be expected. This role will require on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits. It will also require local and occasional overnight travel.

What you'll be doingPerform pre-installation maintenance, including ‘preventative maintenance’ and ‘between patient inspection’ and modification procedures on various Baxter products, unassisted, to include visually, audibly and manually inspect Baxter products for electrical, mechanical, component replacement, or cosmetic problems requiring adjustment or repair, use the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs, and monitor the readings of electronic meters and gaugesDeliver and remove products as well as complete functional checksConduct technical in-service to demonstrate features of productsEffectively implement service policies and procedures to support company objectives including service documentation, SOP/WI training, expense and fleet reporting.Complete all required safety and compliance learning modules and ensure adherence to driving and safety regulations and adhere to pre/post trip inspections as required and Hours of ServiceCollaborate and communicate effectively with co-workers, sales, and other departments and customersProvide exceptional customer service, develop and maintain positive relationships with various levels of internal and external customersMaintain a clean and safe work environment including 5S activities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain)Complete routine cleaning & maintenance on productsLift and carry up to 65 pounds using appropriate processes safely and using ergonomic proceduresWhat you'll bringHigh School Diploma or GED2+ years’ experience in electronics, biomedical equipment technology, medical devices, or electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience required.Bilingual French and English RequiredAbility to use computer and software to complete work orders for internal, regulatory, and project documentation as well as diagnose basic repairs3+ years of experience working hands-on with basic repairsValid driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards and Transport Canada requirementsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read, comprehend, interpret, analyze, and apply technical information including but not limited to technical manuals, technical bulletins, schematics etc.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Occasional overtime requiredUp to 60% travelStrong people skills with the ability to maintain professional and courteous conduct with peers, internal and external customersBasic mathematical skills related to calculating/analyzing weights and measures, volume, distance etc.
