Electronics Technician Maintenance III

Our work depends on you joining our team to work as a Field Service Representative (FSR) supporting the Integrated Battle Command system (IBCS) in the White Sands, NM area. 

How a Field Service Representative will make an impact:

Provides on-site technical and maintenance assistance, analyzes complex technical problems, and provides training to site operations and maintenance personnel. Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of IBCS mission equipment, system software packages for Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI), Air and Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS), Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control Engagement Operations (FAAD EO), IAMD Battle Command System (IBCS), multi-TADIL Network (MTN) data link configurations, operations, capabilities, limitations and troubleshooting to include: RF TADIL-J (2M and MIDS terminal operations), Satellite TADIL-J, Serial TADIL-B and Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) Data Link (FDL) and state-of-the-art electronics in order to identify problems, provide necessary training and maintenance assistance on individual equipment, and/or subsystems as various radio equipment configurations, and computer systems to include processors, servers, and routers.Provides maintenance and supply support to all IBCS platforms under test and fielded to units as directed by PM Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC). This support shall include analysis, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of primary and auxiliary power systems, power and data cabling, environmental control systems (ECU's), environmental protection systems (EPS), interfaces of communications/computer equipment and ground procedures.Troubleshoot and replace starters, alternators, generators, fuel injectors, voltage regulators, switches, control circuits, etc.  Inspect and repair, portable heater, fuel and electrical systems.  Perform Technical Inspections (TIs), verification inspections, preventive maintenance/repairs on various power generation equipment, tactical utility, precise power-generation sets, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment to include tactical wheeled vehicles.Use different welding techniques and skills to repair equipment.  Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers manuals or similar documents.  Uses complex electronic test instruments, computer based diagnostic equipment and load banks. Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.Generator and power plant operations, electrical generation and distribution, diesel generator operation, disassembly, inspection, maintenance and repair, principles of electrical and electronic circuitry.Repair and Service tactical and commercial Generators.Analyze and interpret US Army and/or Commercial Technical Manuals with relation to equipment.Verify serviceability of equipment, determine the economic reparability of the item and determine the extent of maintenance effort and repair parts required to restore the item to the prescribed serviceable condition.Maintains and provides for bench stock, petroleum, oil and lubricant (POL), automated maintenance and mobility products, Test, Measurement, & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), hazardous waste, contaminated waste control, and safety procedures. Maintains historical and training records and performs administrative duties for technical orders (TO) and files.Coordinates logistic support through direct communication and liaison with affected commands systems managers, contractor developers, and users. Participates in off depot meetings and conferences with major commands, engineers, and any development commands to plan, coordinate and implement converted approaches to technical problems and/or product improvements of the specific IBCS equipment and systems cited above.Provides advice and guidance concerning equipment failure problems and ascertains probable cause such as test equipment failure or deficiency, design problems, troubleshooting techniques, appropriate test or calibration procedures or specification inadequacies and initiates corrective action to resolve problems.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree AA or equivalent Required Experience: + 4 yrs related experience Required Technical Skills: Other job relate certifications are a PlusSecurity Clearance Level: Active Secret Clearance Required Skills and Abilities: Must be able to perform Technical Inspections (TIs), verification inspections, preventive maintenance/repairs on various power generation equipment, tactical utility, precise power-generation sets, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment to include tactical wheeled vehicles.  Must have a valid Driver LicenseMust have EPA Universal 608 Certification for HVAC systems.Able to lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 50 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 40 pounds.Able to climb in and out of military/civilian vehicles and related equipment.Able to travel and work overtime as needed.
