Job Description

As a Food & Beverage Field Service Technician, you will safely provide commissioning, and service activities on product and waste water treatment systems for our Food & Beverage customers. Examples of technologies you could work on include media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, ultrafiltration (UF), ultraviolet sanitization, chemical injection, clean-in-place, and related instrumentation and & controls.
 

What you will be responsible for:

Commission, operate, monitor, repair and maintain water treatment systemsProvide customer technical supportConduct maintenance and calibration activitiesPerform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirementsMonitor and maintain chemical injection systemsCarry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentationCreate and maintain site documentation, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performedConsult with customer management and operation teamsEnsure contract compliance of volume and quality specificationsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table (Skills/Experience Required):

High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent and 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment

or

Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM), technical certificate in Instrumentation, Controls or programming or water treatment equipment including UF/MBR Working experience with PLC control systems, PLC programming and troubleshooting is preferredAbility to travel extensivelyValid Driver’s LicensePrior experience in the production of water used in the manufacturing of food products and/or drinking water is a plus.Experience with water treatment systems including filtration, ultrafiltration, degasification, reverse osmosis, electrodeionization, deionization, ultraviolet sanitization, chemical injection, clean-in-place, etc.Have a good background in electrical systems, 120VAC and 480 VACA good knowledge of instrumentation and low voltage, analog and digital communication, installation and troubleshooting.Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teamsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to meet all customer site requirementsAbility to travel 50%+
