Field Service Representative — Naval Marine Gas Turbine

Multiple Customer Sites - US Wide

As the Naval Marine Field Service Representative - Gas Turbines, you will provide in-service support to the US Navy, Coast Guard, and Naval shipyards and be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and some diagnosis on equipment with the aim of minimizing equipment downtime to ensure customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for ensuring that specific maintenance programs are professionally administered by liaising with the customer and maintaining service records upon completion. This role will require 60-70% of travel to multiple customer sites in which you will based for up to 1 month.

Key Accountabilities:

Perform routine maintenance, repair, and commissioning work on equipment in accordance with the technical documentationCreate reports documenting the work performedExtensive travel, up to 70% (both domestic and international) is required, sometimes at short notice - often required to spend multiple weeks away from home.Establishing and maintaining close liaison with all relevant sections of customer organization, and Rolls-Royce management.Reviewing engineering changes, with regard to their effect on the product in the field, including maintenance manual updates and coordinate communication plans with customers on impact on operations.Ability to meet certain requirements for visual acuity, as outlined in the Authorized Field Service Representative program, for purposes of performing essential job functions, such as visual inspection of hardware for serviceability.
 

Basic Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of gas turbine maintenance, repair and/or overhaul experienceAssociate Degree with 3+ years gas turbine maintenance, repair and/or overhaul experiencePrior Rolls-Royce gas turbine experience. Specifically, MT30 and AG9140 gas turbine packagesAbility to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals in order to determine methods and sequences of assemblyIn order to be considered for this position, you must be eligible to receive and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance which requires US CitizenshipHold a valid driver’s license & valid passport

Preferred Requirements:

Prior Shipyard experiencePrior Customer Relations experienceExcellent communication skills, both oral and written.Computer competency using Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project.
