A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for supporting customers in regards to installing hardware, troubleshooting hardware, and website navigation for PivoTrac products to new and existing customers. This involves customer support and interaction, as well as travel to customer sites to diagnose issues and provide training for ongoing maintenance and resolution of technical issues.
The Field Service Technician will be based in Dalhart, TX and work closely with operations to resolve any grower satisfaction issues.
Essential Functions
Supports the development and implementation of new product rollout plansAnswer dealer/customer questions regarding installation, troubleshooting and website navigation Determine the nature of the call and determine the best path to resolution; either resolve the problem or escalate to Field Service Engineer Program modems and keep and maintain database of devices Assist customers inquiries about products and services during high call volume This position reports into the Operations Manager This role requires up to (75%) travel within the local areaOther Important Details about the Role:
Must have the ability and personality to calmly deal with de-escalate tense situations in the field and on the phone Effectively communicate technical solutions, ideas, and questions Must see things through to completion Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervisionRequired Qualifications of Every Candidate:
High school diploma with at least 2 years experience in farming applications or an electrical field of applicationThe ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel locally A working knowledge of computer applications Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if neededHighly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
Associates Degree with 2+ years relevant experience or 4+ years of relevant experience Farm background Previous experience in Ag Irrigation service Previous experience in Precision Ag Industry Certified Electrician#LI-Remote
