Field Service Technician
A manufacturer in Roanoke is looking for a Field Service Technician to join their team!
The ideal candidates must have the ability to build great relationships and an excellent mechanical aptitude. Knowledge and experience should include understanding hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical power systems.

Field Service Technician Details:
Direct Hire position$60,000.00 to $65,000.00 /annuallySalaried (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)Main responsibilities: Provide advice, training, and problem-solving for the users of manufactured equipment
•Commission trucks at customer sites and train users on equipment and technology
•Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions
•Initiate sales for aftermarket parts, truck equipment, and services; provide quotes and make warranty service decisions
•Develop and document technical reports, analyze test data, and interpret manufacturing data and engineering drawings
•Establish strong customer relationships, serving as a valuable resource
•Call on new accounts to increase customer contact and promote the company
•Participate as an instructor at training school and conduct on-site customer training
Field Service Technician Qualifications:
• Promote and adhere to proper safety procedures, consistently using PPE
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment at customer sites, communicating directly to identify issues, advise on solutions, and schedule repairs
• Proficient in using tools such as welders, drills, hand tools, hydraulic flow meters, and electrical multimeters, with a strong understanding of mechanical motions and their relationship with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical DC power systems
• Possess a working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components, capable of interpreting hydraulic schematics, performing calculations for hydraulic components, and making necessary calibrations and unit conversions
