We need people who can install, service, and maintain our equipment to keep it running at top operating efficiency. To be successful in this position, you will need: Stage, install, and commission manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic tray sealing machinery and tooling Flexible to travelling for extended periods of time, including air travel Advise and provide third party equipment supplier integration support Perform remote or on-site support to equipment breakdown situations Management and interpretation of on-site customer requirements and expectations Installation, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical and pneumatic assemblies including but not limited to drive motors, drum rollers, belts, bushings, bearings, rollers, valves, cylinders, etc. Installation, diagnosis, and repair of various AC/DC electrical systems including but not limited to PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, power supplies, servo motors/amplifiers, temperature controllers, phase monitors, contactors, relays, transformers, heaters, etc. Perform necessary installation and repair work using standard test instruments, hand tools, and computer software Consult and maintain effective communication with design engineers, management, and customers to resolve issues in system, design, operation, and maintenance Provide timely, accurate, and detailed service visit reports Why work at JBT ... Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED required A degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is a plus, but not required Technology based degree/ vocational training preferred Valid United States driver’s license and good driving record Able to work overtime as needed Experience using hand tools is a plus Experience in electromechanical engineering, mechatronics, or machine automation preferred Two years of experience in food processing/production environment with a primary focus on heat sealing preferred VSP technology and servicing and repairing automated equipment is preffered US Passport preffered (can be added following employment) Able to pass background check and drug screening Other Requirements Able to tavel 80% - 90% of the time Ability to communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and departments Employees must be able to rent vehicles in various areas of the country. At least 21 years of age.
