Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of vision, camera, and scanning systems for high-speed automation systems at vendor and client sites. You will also support on-site system installation, start-up, debugging, and commissioning. Additionally, you will create training and system documentation as needed, provide remote support to troubleshoot system process problems, and complete formal training programs to enhance your knowledge of specific systems. Accurate tracking and reporting of time spent and expenses incurred are also key aspects of this position.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, test, and commission vision, camera, and scanning systems for high-speed automation systems at vendor and client sites.Support on-site system installation, start-up, debugging, and commissioning.Create training and system documentation as needed.Provide remote support to troubleshoot system process problems.Complete formal training programs to increase knowledge of specific vision, camera, and scanning systems.Provide daily reports to the supervisor summarizing completed work and outlining remaining tasks.Accurately track and report all time spent and expenses incurred for work performed.Essential Skills1+ year of mechanical and electrical assembly and troubleshooting experience.1+ year of experience reading and following AutoCAD drawings for system layouts, assembly, and troubleshooting.Ability to work independently on specific tasks and as a member of a team on larger tasks.Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsTwo-year technical degree preferred.1+ year in a field service tech role previously, understanding hours, travel, and client-facing expectations.
